Keep Visitors On Your Site Longer
by: Marc Dubois
Getting visitors to your site is the first struggle when you have a web site, but keeping them their is a whole new issue. In most cases visitors leave a site just as fast as they got there if they don't find what the are looking for.
Here are 3 good ways to help keep visitors on your site.
1. Tell your visitors what's offered at your web site at the very beginning. When people first come to a web site they want to know hat it is about. People usually leave a web site within the first 5 seconds if they don't know what the web site is about. If you let them know first and foremost you increase the possibility of them staying longer.
2. Provide your web site visitors with content they won't find anywhere else. Keeping your web site or blog updated with fresh content also help with higher ranking in search engines. People will stay longer at your web site to read the original content.
3. Offer your web site visitors some free products or samples.
Here's what you do.
Go to
http://madblogger.shopfree.com which has a long list of samples and free products. Find the products that you like best. You can just go through site and choose any offers you want to specifically link to. By right-clicking on the offer when in a category and selecting "Copy shortcut", you can reveal a link similar to the one below.
Ex.
http://madblogger.shopfree.com/offers.asp?dep=Baby_CareThis link will take you to the baby care section of samples on the site.
Then build a link with the shortcut you copied, and paste it to you web pages. Your link should look something like this.
Baby Care Freebies
You can do this with any free sample link on the site. Hopefully these 3 tips will help you keep visitors on your site longer.
