Yahoo Marketing Exec Quits

Yahoo Inc.'s chief marketing officer, Cammie Dunaway, is leaving the company in two weeks, joining a management exodus that has unfolded as the Internet icon struggles to snap out of a financial funk. The Sunnyvale-based company didn't give a reason for Dunaway's departure in a Friday statement, but the move does come shortly after Yahoo announced a 5% drop in Q3 profits. Dunaway, who joined Yahoo in 2003, had been Yahoo's head of customer experience as well as chief marketing officer. Her last day on the job will be Nov. 2.Allen Olivo, Yahoo's vice president of global brand marketing, will take over Dunaway's duties until a permanent replacement is found. Yahoo's management team has changed dramatically during the past year amid an effort to accelerate growth and lift the company's sagging stock price. The downturn prompted Yahoo Chairman Terry Semel to step down as chief executive four months ago and turn over the reins to company co-founder Jerry Yang. Other prominent departures have included Yahoo's former president, Dan Rosensweig, as well as its chief technology officer and top sales executive in the United States.
