Major British Telecoms software provider opens a new R&D centre in Cwmbran, South Wales

October 31st, 2011, London, UK: Tribold, the world’s leading provider of Enterprise Product Management (EPM) software specifically developed for Communication Service Providers (CSPs), today announces the opening of their new Research & Development Centre in Cwmbran, South Wales, to help drive job creation and innovation in the region.

This is following further strategic investment from existing investors Intel Capital and DFJ Esprit, supported by The Welsh Government, which has provided business finance support throughout the project via its Economic Renewal programme. Tribold selected the region to base its R&D operations over several other global options due to the availability of highly skilled staff, logistical impacts and property costs.  The company will create over 45 new highly skilled jobs in the Welsh region, supplied by Wales-based leading UK multi-regional recruitment company, Acorn.

Simon Muderack, Tribold CEO commented: “Tribold is hugely excited to tap into the outstanding resource pool in Wales.  This is a major investment for Tribold, that I am confident will deliver substantial returns and great products for our global customer base.”

Officially opening the new centre Business Minister Edwina Hart said: “I’m delighted that Tribold was one of the first companies to benefit from business finance support from the Welsh Government under the Economic Renewal Programme. This support has now resulted in over 45 highly-skilled jobs being created in Cwmbran.

“Tribold’s decision to locate their Research and Development Centre in Cwmbran is also a recognition of the skilled workforce available to companies in South Wales.”

The opening ceremony of the Tribold Wales office is today (Monday, October 31st) from 11.30 am–12:45 pm. Ms Edwina Hart AM, Minister for Business, Enterprise, Technology and Science will be attending the event by leading an official ribbon cutting ceremony.

Office location: Technium Springboard, Llantarnam Park, Cwmbran, Gwent NP33 4AW
