...supporting both Windows and Linux users
Manchester, UK - VXL’s enterprise-level Fusion™ device manger goes from strength to strength with the launch of a new version supporting Linux users. Complementing the current Windows XP Embedded Standard, WES 7 and WE8S supported offering, Fusion now sets the industry benchmark for the management of thin clients.
Powerful, user-friendly and highly scalable, Fusion™ device manager is designed to configure, monitor and manage all VXL thin client devices as well as conventional PCs and POS terminals*. Using an easy to use, web based, GUI, Fusion™ device manager can quickly and easily issue software images, patches, updates and add-ons, thereby enhancing user productivity and reducing support costs.
Frank Noon VP Worldwide Sales commented; “Fusion’s ability to manage multiple operating systems combined with its true enterprise-level credentials make it the perfect management solution”. “IT departments will also benefit from both a highly effective and secure device manager that will also ensure support costs are kept to a minimum.“ he added.
Incorporating a web-based GUI using AJAX, Fusion™ also includes industry standard Microsoft technologies with SSL communications that enables intelligent real-time asset management, health monitoring, configuration updates and comprehensive reporting.
Fusion’s enterprise hierarchical grouping also makes it easy to manage thousands of devices, while the secure HTTPS connections ensure full integrity of communications between agents and the server. Furthermore, Fusion can collect real-time inventory data, conduct maintenance tasks on selected devices as well as monitor all systems and execute corrective actions automatically when required.
VXL Fusion™ with Linux support is available from 9th June 2014.
