UK telecom solutions provider Global 4 Communications selects Tilgin’s tGem as TR-069 ACS of choice
Stockholm, Sweden, October 10, 2013: Tilgin, a leading provider of solutions for multi-play and next-generation broadband, has signed an agreement with Global 4 for the delivery of Tilgin’s TR-069 Auto Configuration Server solution: tGem.
Global 4, a leading telecom solutions provider for the residential and business market in the UK, has chosen to invest in TR-069 solutions for the remote management of their 15,000 national deployments.
With tGem, Tilgin provides Global 4 with a comprehensive remote management platform for all Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) compliant with Broadband Forum's TR-069 standard. The full life-cycle of residential devices is addressed by tGem within a multi-vendor context, ranging from the initial activation, service upgrade, to proactive maintenance procedures and subscriber care.
Global 4 will use tGem to improve their deployment process in both pace and reliability as well as to maintain the high levels of satisfaction their customers are used to.
“Global 4 is renowned for customer service from installation through to on-going account management, so it is important for us to get the right tools, especially with our fast growing roll-out pace. On a daily basis, we handle hundreds of new customers thanks to our innovative partnering with estate / letting agents. When we made the selection of Tilgin with tGem after 9 months of researching the market place we chose both the right solution as well as the right partner to help us run our business our way.” Says Nigel Barnett, MD at Global 4
The deployment is expected to start in September with the new tGem 6.2.2 version, which includes a number of improvements such as LDAP and TFTP support as well as improved support for proprietary extensions (e.g. Broadcom) to TR-069 in the Home Network mapping functionality.
