January 7th 2011 - On Monday, January 10, the Technology Strategy Board will launch a call for feasibility studies in the area of Digital Systems and another for Technology-Inspired Innovation. These calls will award up to £25,000 for feasibility studies in these areas which last for three months or less. The awards are limited to small and micro businesses and there is a good chance of success for serious applications.

A number of Knowledge Transfer Networks are supporting this call by hosting an information day for prospective applicants in London on January 13. This free event is designed to discuss the content of the calls and to generate ideas.

Details of the call for Feasibility Studies for Digital Systems are available from http://tinyurl.com/3a83eun and the call for Technology Inspired Innovation call from http://tinyurl.com/37j9yj5

If you are interested in applying for one of the grants, then coming along on January 13 should considerably enhance your chance of submitting a successful application. The event is hosted by the Digital Communications, Digital Systems and Electronics, Sensors and Photonics Knowledge transfer networks and will feature speakers from the Technology Strategy Board describing what they are looking for in applications. There will also be the opportunity for you to have one-to-one discussions with Technology Strategy Board representatives to discuss your ideas.

The Information day will be held at the BIS conference Centre at 1, Victoria Street, London, SW1H 0ET. Registration will commence at 9:30 with proceedings opening at 10:00pm.
More details on the event and an agenda for the day are available from http://tinyurl.com/3yjjeof
