New partnerships with British retailers help drive company growth and market share
Reading, UK, 20th March 2013: TP-LINK, the global provider of SOHO and SMB networking products, has announced that the company has achieved £22 million in revenue in the UK for 2012 and global company revenue of $1.47 billion. These figures demonstrate the company’s rapid growth in recent years, which is fuelled by both the launch of new products and new partnerships. The company has also recently expanded into new markets with additions to its global network of subsidiaries.
These positive figures are in-line with the latest growth of 2.7% in retail sales in the UK, announced by the British Retail Consortium (BRC), as one of the most significant increases since 2009. Retail partnerships cultivated by TP-LINK in 2012 include Tesco, Asda, Maplin, DSG and Novatech. Most recently, TP-LINK has also partnered with Richer Sounds, Britain’s largest Hi-Fi retailer, to stock and retail TP-LINK’s product range online and in stores.
TP-LINK is the clear market leader in the general ‘wireless’ market with products including powerline adapters, range extenders, wireless adapters and routers. Targeting SOHO and SMB markets, these products offer cost-effective and reliable networking solutions that ensure quick and easy access to the Internet. The TP-LINK portfolio also includes devices designed for households seeking enhanced connectivity without cables or additional wiring.
“After a successful 2012 and start of 2013 for TP-LINK, our strategy will continue to focus on fostering growth within the networking and communications industry by providing high-quality networking products that are reliable and user-friendly,” said Eric Wang, Country Manager of TP-LINK UK. “The fact that the main retailers in the UK have included the latest TP-LINK devices within their product ranges is a testament to the effort and value that we have invested, and will continue to invest, into developing stronger partnerships.”
TP-LINK has a strong presence at the global level in the networking and IT industries, ranking amongst the world’s main suppliers of WLAN devices, with market presence in over 120 countries and reaching over one billion users globally.
