Leading Communications service providers gather in Paris to share value of using TM Forum’s Frameworx standard and set future roadmap
MORRISTOWN, NJ—January 31, 2011— More than 25 leading communications service provider companies gathered in Paris earlier this month to shape the future of TM Forum’s Frameworx standard. TM Forum’s first-ever Frameworx Spotlight brought the service provider community together to share the value they have gained from using Frameworx, and shape the development roadmap for this critical industry standard.
Deutsche Telekom, Orange, UPC, Saudi Telecom, E-Plus and PT Inovação presented case studies illustrating how the Frameworx standard is being used to simplify complex transformation and enable the agility today’s market demands.
Hosted by Alain Fouquet VP OSS of Orange Labs Networks and Carriers and Martin Creaner, President and Chief Operating Officer, TM Forum, the Spotlight explored the use of Frameworx and its core components - the Business Process (eTOM), Information (SID), Application (TAM), and Integration frameworks.

These case studies were complemented by a series of roundtable discussions to shape the future roadmap for Frameworx, which is collaboratively developed by TM Forum’s 750-strong membership. Attended by more than 80 service provider professionals from around the world, topics included:

The Spotlight also featured a series of workshops for service providers, covering subjects ranging from effective procurement of Frameworx Conformance Certified products using TM Forum’s new RFx templates, through to TM Forum’s Benchmarking Program, which uses standardized business metrics to benchmark service providers in critical business functions.
