University of Dundee BI course uses TIBCO Spotfire analytics and data visualisation software to help prepare today’s business managers with contemporary decision-making tools and techniques

(NASDAQ: TIBX) today announced that it is supporting one of Europe’s leading courses on business intelligence (BI) by supplying free of charge its in-memory analytics software, TIBCO Spotfire®, to students and lecturers at the University of Dundee. The post-graduate course, run by Dr. Mark Whitehorn, senior lecturer in the School of Computing and a leading authority on BI, is attended by business professionals working for some of the UK’s leading companies and institutions. Through its University Programme, TIBCO Spotfire makes free software available for teaching to universities and course students, as part of its commitment to developing the BI skills of the next generation of industry leaders.
