20th July 2010, Hemel Hempstead, UK – The Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT) and the Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT) have chosen speech automation and data integration specialist Telephonetics PLC to supply their Business Solutions Development Platform ‘Eden’ to enhance their membership and subscriptions processes. Eden, from the subsidiary company Datadialogs, will streamline and integrate CIOT/ATT's core subscriptions systems, which should improve efficiency and provide a single view of each member’s relationship with the organisations.
The CIOT is a registered charity and is the leading professional body in the United Kingdom concerned solely with taxation. Its primary purpose is to promote education in and the study of the administration and practice of taxation. One of its key aims is to achieve a better, more efficient, tax system for all affected by it - taxpayers, advisers and the authorities. The CIOT’s comments and recommendations on tax issues are made solely in order to achieve its aims: it is entirely apolitical in its work. Membership of the CIOT is by examination and members have the practising title of ‘Chartered Tax Adviser’. There are in excess of 15,000 members mainly working as Tax Advisers, Chartered Accountants and Lawyers.
The ATT, an independent organisation which shares back-office services with the CIOT, is also a registered charity which was founded in 1989 and now has a membership of over 6000 working mainly as Tax Advisers. It has become the leading professional body for those providing tax compliance services and related activities in the UK. The members are qualified by examination and practical experience to assist individuals and businesses in complying with their tax obligations.
The Eden solution will enable CIOT/ATT to maintain a single view of members and their status, as well as streamlining the entire process by joining online and telephone payment processes with their financial system. Integrating the subscription systems and operations into a single end-to-end process will enable CIOT/ATT to manage the membership administration more efficiently. Eden will also eliminate a number of manual processes, free up critical staff, save time and create a scalable platform for continued excellence in service delivery.
Mary Foley, Operations Director at The Chartered Institute of Taxation says “We selected Eden from Telephonetics because it offered us a fast, scalable solution that leverages our existing systems and investment while streamlining the membership process. Eden eliminates a number of manual steps so that our staff are free to focus on delivering services to our members.”
Anthony Mckay, CEO of Telephonetics PLC says “We are delighted that CIOT/ATT has taken our partnership further by choosing Eden. Eden will enhance the CIOT/ATT's systems and processes, helping them get more from their infrastructure while reducing costs. In the current economic and business climate, we are finding that this principle strikes a chord with many of our customers as they re-align their service delivery to respond dynamically to the ever-changing needs of customers.
