Guildford, UK, Tuesday, 28th May, 2013 – Avaya, a global provider of business collaboration and communications solutions and services, today announced that Synexus, a UK-headquartered specialist in clinical trials for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, has selected Avaya’s IP Office, Scopia, and a full complement of Avaya Networking products to increase productivity and ensure multi-site collaboration across its 26 research centres in nine countries.

At Synexus, global expansion created significant pressure on the business, requiring service consistency and adherence to local and regional regulatory standards. From an operational perspective, Synexus also wanted to improve the communication and collaboration capabilities for its international workforce, while controlling costs associated with IT infrastructure.

Avaya partner Digital Exchange Products (DXP), a specialist systems integrator, led the transformation of Synexus together with Tony Healy, group IT director, Synexus. In less than a year, DXP used Avaya to fully virtualise the UK network and create a disaster recovery system, and installed Avaya IP Office in every UK location, together with Scopia video conferencing.
