London, 18th April 2013: Sosius, a leading online collaboration and team workspace platform for SMEs and enterprises, today announced the appointment of Jonny Laughton as CMO, Gervase Clifton-Bligh as COO and Erik Liljeberg as GM for the Nordic region.
Laughton, who brings with him over 15 years of experience of working with high growth technology businesses in the UK, will be responsible for delivering the company’s ambitious growth plans, establishing Sosius as the ‘collaboration platform of choice’ within existing territories in Europe and expanding the service’s presence in new markets. Jonny joins Sosius having previously been a Director and member of the Executive teams at Star and MessageLabs, the latter being Europe’s first sizeable Software as a Service exit in 2008.
Clifton-Bligh will be responsible for the smooth running of the company’s operations and management of the interface between its product and business development strategies. Gervase headed up product strategy and development for Fractal Edge, which he founded and sold in 2010, and is currently also Managing Director at ThinkFusion, a data visualization and analysis company active in both enterprise software and SaaS markets.
Lilieberg has more than 10 years of experience in the IT industry. From 2007 to 2012 Erik had overall responsibility for client portfolios in Sweden and Norway at SaaS company Meltwater Drive. Erik joins Sosius to continue developing its substantial customer base in the Northern European markets.
The team growth comes hot on the heels of recent regional expansion resulting in Sosius growing its Northern European base, ensuring a strong market presence in targeted key markets. Along with market growth, March has seen a major new release containing innovative new features and improvements in the platform. Creating office documents in Zoho, the ability to drag and drop files enhancing the user experience, effective connection with customers via LinkedIn integration, all running on the latest version of Rackspace and Microsoft Cloud.
