The SCTE is to hold its Autumn Lecture and Annual General Meeting at the Royal College of Surgeons in Lincoln’s Inn Fields next week. Held on 29th October in the Eleanor Colley-Davies Lecture Theatre (LT2) of the RCS, the SCTE Autumn Lecture focuses on the theme of “Managing the Overheads.”
The programme will include topics around trends in cabling, subscriber Quality of Experience and cable training plus LTE and 4K. Presenters include Martin Karlsson, Deputy CTO of Net Insight talking on “IP QoS Objectives for Broadcast Service,” and the Chairman of Broadband Training Ltd., Chris Swires, and Mike Thornton, SCTE’s Training Committee Chairman, will present new broadband/cable training materials.
In addition, Brian Stevenson from Seawell Networks will talk on the subject of “Scaling Content Delivered over Managed IP and OTT Networks,” and Jan Ariesen, Chief Technical Officer of Technetix, will cover: “Stretching the Capex of the HFC Network.” The event will be followed by the SCTE’s AGM and finally a cocktail party at 5.30pm in the RCS’s Hunterian Museum.
