(ISC)²® (“ISC-squared”), the largest not-for-profit membership body of certified information and software security professionals with nearly 100,000 members worldwide, today announced delegates can now register for its fourth annual Security Congress, to be held September 29 – October 2, 2014 in Atlanta, Ga., U.S.A. at the Georgia World Congress Center.

The fourth annual (ISC)² Security Congress will be colocated with the ASIS International 2014 60th Annual Seminar and Exhibits (ASIS 2014), providing opportunities for security professionals from many disciplines to network and collaborate while learning about new security technologies and keeping up with the latest industry threats and trends. The two events will be held together at the Georgia World Congress Center, providing attendees with professional development opportunities that span both traditional and cybersecurity landscapes.

Congress will focus on strengthening cybersecurity defenders with knowledge, connections, and tools, with more than 200 educational sessions, numerous special events, and an exhibit floor showcasing more than 700 product and service providers. The colocated events will bring together over 25,000 security professionals from multiple disciplines, making this the most comprehensive education and networking event in the security industry. Security experts from around the world will present educational sessions on timely security solutions and up-to-date intelligence for the traditional security or cybersecurity practitioner.

Key conference tracks include:

Cloud Security
Swiss Army Knife
General topics of interest in Information Security

Application Security/Software Assurance
Mobile Security & Social Networking
Governance, Regulation & Compliance
Malware
Professional Development
Digital Forensics
Healthcare Security
“This important annual event has grown significantly since it was introduced in 2011,” said W. Hord Tipton, CISSP, executive director of (ISC)². “Last year, Security Congress attracted over 1,200 attendees, and the numerous (ISC)²members I spoke with were impressed by the caliber of both the presenters and sessions. Their satisfaction was also reflected in the feedback we received from the 90 high quality educational sessions that received an overall score of 5.23 out of a possible 6.0 by conference attendees. The 2014 event will offer even more compelling education, networking, and career development opportunities, including new conference tracks in healthcare security, digital forensics and professional development.”

The programme will also feature pre- and post-conference training, including two-day courses for (ISC)²’s Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP®), Cloud Forensics, Big Data, Access Controls/Defense in Depth, End Point Security, Managerial Experience BCP/DRP, Identity & Access Management, and Healthcare Security. (ISC)² will also provide free, half-day credential clinics suited to current skills and career paths for those considering becoming (ISC)²-certified, as well as a Career Pavilion that offers attendees career advice and resources, and the opportunity to engage with professional recruiters, universities, and potential employers on site. Congress attendees will be given the opportunity to connect face-to-face with peers from diverse backgrounds and interests, sharing experiences and exchanging ideas at daily networking luncheons.

(ISC)² members will have opportunities to attend exclusive member events, including a networking reception and Town Hall Meeting. The Town Hall Meeting gives (ISC)² members the chance to pose questions to a panel consisting of (ISC)² executive staff, the Board of Directors, and other organisational leaders. Members interested in becoming a volunteer for (ISC)²’s Safe and Secure Online programme will also have the opportunity to participate in an interactive volunteer orientation session.

(ISC)² members are eligible for special discounted pricing. For more details and to register, please visithttps://congress.isc2.org/registration.
