27 September 2011 – Leading testing and compliance consultancy TRaC Global today announces that Ralink Technology Corporation has successfully completed its DSL testing program, certified by the USA’s two largest broadband service providers.

In the announcement, made today at Broadband World Forum, TRaC confirmed the test program was completed in only three weeks thanks to the 24/7 testing capabilities at TRaC’s flagship DSL test facility in Hull, UK. Ralink’s ADSL and ADSL2+ chipset successfully achieved the TR-067 and TR-100 test program requirements for the multiple DSLAMs deployed in North America.

Anthony Kuo, director of broadband communication business unit at Ralink commented: “Successfully completing the TRaC DSL test program means we can place our first chipsets in AT&T and Verizon modems. It’s a major coup for Ralink and is thanks to the responsiveness and flexibility of the TRaC engineers who completed the program so quickly and efficiently.”

Ralink Technology Corporation is a leading developer of high performance wired and wireless networking solutions. Its products are recognised for their superior performance and reliability, rich feature set, low-power consumption, and high levels of integration.

Paul Russell, director of TRaC, said: “Our engineers did an excellent job in completing this test program within tight timeframes. We were able to achieve this via the efficiencies gained using the automated systems developed in-house and the multiple test stations at our on-site flagship testing facility.”

TRaC’s extensive range of telecom testing and consultancy services is used by many of the world’s largest telecoms manufacturers. Its DSL interoperability testing includes ADSL, ADSL2+, READSL2, VDSL2 and SHDSL technologies against Broadband Forum and operator requirements and covers all product areas from chipsets to complete products.

TRaC Global is exhibiting at Broadband World Forum (27-29 September at CNIT in Paris) in the pod area where it will be showcasing its comprehensive range of telecoms services covering the Radio, EMC, Safety and Approvals global markets.
