Specialist Unified Communications and Managed Service Provider posts strong growth figures - turnover up 23%, EBITDA rises to £1m, cash reserves increase to £2.6m
Thatcham, 16th May 2013 - Proximity Communications plc, a multi-award winning Unified Communications and Managed Service Provider has reported the highest level of turnover and profitability in the Group’s history. The company was established following a merger between Applinet plc and Unified Group Limited, in 2009. In its last financial year, the Company reported a turnover result of £12.5m (up from £10m in the previous year), which represents a year-on-year organic growth rate of 23%. Furthermore, 43% of the turnover came from recurring client revenues for the period.
The last financial year has seen the restructure and consolidation of the sales and operations functions across the Group. The creation and appointment of a new Operations Director role has been part of the restructure and a total of 21 new staff have been recruited across a variety of functions throughout the year.

We have improved our understanding of the business and our customers through enhanced reporting information that is measuring our success and allows us to provide better problem ownership and resolution. The investment in services like our Network Operations Centre (NOC) and our new helpdesk solution, PULSE, has paid dividends for our clients and the business, and we are seeing the knock-on effects of this via customer feedback and new business wins.”

Proximity continued to focus on partner relations and broadening accreditations over the last year, which saw the company move up the vendor league achieving GOLD status with all key vendors, in addition to receiving a number of vendor accolades.
