Perforce SCM among tools developers can’t live without

Wokingham, UK, 8th December, 2011 - Perforce Software was recently honoured by Visual Studio Magazine (VSM) with a 2011 Readers Choice award. Each year readers choose the best third-party tools for professional developers who work with code in Microsoft platforms and tools. Also a winner in previous years, Perforce Software Configuration Management (SCM) received a Merit Award in the application lifecycle and project management category.

“We’re honoured to be included again this year among the tools Microsoft developers can’t live without,” said Randy DeFauw, technical marketing manager for Perforce Software. "In early 2012, we’ll launch a new Perforce integration with Visual Studio. The plug-in is built on Perforce's .NET API for speed and stability, and developers will be able to use Perforce's powerful visual tools directly in the IDE."

The 19th-annual Readers Choice Awards are based on the voting of Visual Studio Magazine subscribers. VSM readers were invited to fill out survey ballots and identify the top third-party tools from a list of more than 600 developer products.
