Perforce P4Ant improves continuous integration for distributed development and build environments

Perforce Software announced the availability of P4Ant, a new integration between its Software Configuration Management (SCM) system and Apache Ant, the popular Java-based build tool. This integration includes advanced Perforce capabilities that support agile development and continuous integration in large distributed environments.

With Perforce shelving, build engineers can more efficiently test changes made in distributed development and build environments before submitting them to the project. P4Ant also supports tasks that provide information on the latest changes, and that link builds to Perforce's built-in defect-tracking system.

The Perforce Ant Tasks Integration, P4Ant, is available now at no additional charge with Release 2010.1 of the Perforce Server.
