New customers, analyst accolades and awards nominations set scene for presence Management World 2010
London 6th May, 2010 - Ontology Systems prepares for a busy show at Management World 2010 in Nice next month with a full agenda at the event and ever increasing momentum as OSS/CAD is rapidly becoming an unstoppable force in tackling OSS/BSS misalignment.
Building up to the conference in Nice, Ontology has announced new customer deployments, received strong endorsement from industry analysts and Ontology’s Flagship product, OSS/CAD, has been short listed for several awards.
New Customers
A few weeks ago Ontology announced OSS/CAD was successfully deployed as a Service Management solution by Telenor Denmark. Ontology Systems’ semantic application is being used to align and unify data from 9 existing OSS and Network systems across Telenor’s Mobile, Optical, and IP infrastructure. In February, Neotel, South Africa's first converged telecommunications network operator, chose OSS/CAD to dynamically join, align and present customer, service, and infrastructure data from existing IT systems to allow Neotel to lower OPEX and speed migrations through a fully aligned service view.
Industry Analyst Recognition
In April Gartner featured Ontology Systems as one of only 4 vendors in their most recent “Cool Vendors in Telecom Operations Management Systems, 2010” report. In February this year Ontology was named as one of the “Global OSS/BSS Rat Pack - Stratecast's 10 To Watch in 2010”. Stratecast’s OSS/BSS Global Competitive Strategies analysis service define the OSS/BSS Rat Pack to include small, agile, hungry, well-managed companies that are experiencing success despite the changing global economy and rapid evolution within the telecommunications industry. And in March this year OSS/CAD was featured in Heavy Reading Services Software Insider Report: "Beyond CRM: Customer Experience Management".
Award Nominations
OSS/CAD has enjoyed several recent award nominations. In the TM Forum Excellence Awards 2010 OSS/CAD is the application at the centre of BT’s “Semantic Toolset to Optimise Business Transformations” nomination in the TM Forum Business Innovation Award category. The winners will be announced at Management World conference this month.
