• 20 individual content partnerships with host of global providers make Jeanie Media the world’s largest reviews and listings agency
• ‘No short-cuts’ ethic winning attracts Jeanie Media a host of new big brand customers; Itchy City
• Innovative mobile format makes content-rich application creation a reality for brands.

London 28th June, 2010 – OK! Magazine has partnered with UK-based mobile media company, Jeanie Media (www.jeaniemedia.com) to create OK! “Celebspotter” for the Apple iPhone; a glamorous  location-based lifestyle application that offers users the chance to visit the UK’s favourite celebrity haunts, live the lifestyle of their favourite celebrities and gain access to a wealth of listings, reviews and recommendations from those who know how to help them make the most of their social lives.

Through 20 individual content partnerships with some of the world’s leading content owners, such as FENS Celebrity Bulletin, the Press Association (PA), Squaremeal.co.uk and VisitBritain, Jeanie Media has created the world’s largest aggregated private listings database; giving OK! Magazine unrivalled access to quality, co-branded content for its users.

OK! Celebspotter was designed using Jeanie Media’s innovative mobile ‘format’ that provides brands with a customisable app ‘wire frame’, linking content to location using Google Maps. Users have the option to “Search by Celeb” and, by tracking and adding recent celebrity sightings, they can home-in on all the hotspots where their idols have been regularly sighted – giving them a real taste of the celebrity lifestyle, wherever they are.

Farzad Jamal, Group Internet Controller, Express Newspapers & OK! Magazine comments: “Making the move into mobile has been a high priority for us for a while but we needed to make sure we got it right. Many brands make the mistake of using a ‘quick and dirty’ approach to development that can’t provide the quality of content to excite and maintain the interest of their users. Jeanie Media has the best content partnerships we’ve come across and a mobile framework that allows the app to become an extension of our existing brand, adapted to the medium for which it is intended.”

20 Individual Content Partnerships, 600 categories, 2 million records
Jeanie Media has the largest database of aggregated private-domain listings content anywhere in the world, customisable according to a brand’s identity and target audience.

Jeanie Media’s content partners are:

• Local Data Company – 400,000 business and utility records

Low Risk, Rapid Deployment, License-Based Model
Jeanie Media’s flexible, customisable, low-risk and quick-to-market “format” has attracted interest from a host of new big brand customers. ItchyCity is working with Jeanie to customise the format and will be available content to a younger more cost-conscious market – offering younger mobile users a combined listings and events database to help them find the best deals and the most exciting events close to them.

Jeanie Media is also working with VisitBritain to provide a mobile counterpart to the National Tourism Open Platform (“NTOP”) database – the central pool for all local accommodation, attractions and events listings aggregated from 86 counties across the UK – so that its highly location-centric information may be provided by third-party brands to their own audiences.

More broadly, Jeanie Media’s mobile format can be easily recalibrated to meet the needs of individual brands of all shapes and sizes and in any sector, from lifestyle to retail, TV formats and property. Customised formats can be created in around four weeks, and are designed to reflect existing brand / product guidelines and identities.

Alexander Fairfax, Managing Director, Jeanie Media says: “There are no short-cuts when developing a mobile product with relevance and longevity. Our apps are designed to imbue a brand’s prior equity and, crucially, interpret that in a way that is mobile-centric. Our formats are designed with the mobile user in mind, and always aim to go the extra mile so far as content and deliverables are concerned. Through our formats, brands can finally exploit the mobile opportunity with a product that won’t fall short of customer expectation.”

He concludes: “Jeanie Media’s app design and implementation process is an exercise in customisation, not ‘from-scratch’ development, which significantly reduces the associated development risks.  It is also reassuring that our format has been accepted by Apple many times over, meaning that we can deliver our apps to market in record detail and in record time.”

Jeanie Media’s app formats are typically made available on a fixed set-up and monthly licence fee basis.
