“I Speak Dragon!” Contest Invites Dragon Desktop and Dragon Mobile Apps User Community to Share Success Stories and Videos

LONDON, UK, – October 6, 2011 – Nuance Communications, Inc., today launched its “I Speak Dragon!” contest in the United Kingdom, whereby Dragon NaturallySpeaking, Dragon Dictate, and Dragon Mobile Apps customers can share their unique experiences using the world’s most popular speech recognition solutions. People are invited to submit their stories between October 6 and November 30, 2011, to the "I Speak Dragon!" contest site – either in written or video format – about how Dragon speech recognition has enhanced and transformed their lives.

“The increase of Dragon users has been accelerated by the uptake of Nuance’s highly popular mobile applications and the recent availability of Dragon Dictate 2.5 for Mac. This new enthusiasm for speech technology builds on the long term and loyal support shown by our established Dragon NaturallySpeaking user community. Combined, we believe that this will encourage even more users to enter to this year’s "I Speak Dragon!" competition, fuelled by their positive Dragon experiences across multiple platforms," said Neil Grant, Regional Sales Director UK and SA for Nuance.

Three winning stories will be selected by a panel of judges, and the winning entrants will each receive an iPad 2 as well as a Dragon NaturallySpeaking or a Dragon Dictate desktop upgrade.  The “I Speak Dragon!” contest is free to enter and open to all UK users of Dragon NaturallySpeaking and Dragon Dictate. And, for the first time, it is open to users of Nuance’s Dragon Mobile Apps - which includes Dragon Dictation, Dragon Search and FlexT9 for Android - who are also keen to share their stories. Entries can be submitted in written form or as a video, and a panel of judges will select the top three stories in the following categories: 1) Most Creative, 2) Most Productive, and 3) Most Life-Changing. Winners will be announced in January 2012.
