- Only software testing company to feature in prestigious report
NMQA, the independent UK software testing specialist, has featured in the Sunday Times Tech Track 2011 report following consistent operational and financial growth over the past three years. NMQA, which provides high-end, strategic testing services as well as testing software, works closely with three of the top five UK tier one banks, as well as with organisations such as John Lewis, Camelot, Microsoft and the BBC.
Tech Track 100
Demand for NMQA’s bespoke testing services, test lab and software has been driven by the need for organisations to reduce the time taken to implement new IT solutions and improve the quality of new systems. Recent consolidation within the financial services sector has also created demand for NMQA’s expertise.
Jason Westhorpe, managing director of NMQA, explains: “Banks, building societies and insurance companies can face severe and costly challenges when integrating systems post-merger. We are regularly invited into these programmes to solve complex testing problems that cannot be solved with a one-size fits all approach. Because we are independent, we can be flexible and deliver the high value blend of consultancy, services and software that individual organisations and their testing teams need. Our unique testing methodology has saved our clients significant amounts of time and money.
“In a fast moving growth market, we’re proud to be included in the Times Tech Track 100 as the only software testing company. Gartner calculates the market to be worth £8.4 billion a year worldwide, but this is a fraction of the value that intelligent software testing can deliver to complex IT implementations.”
NMQA has added to its core business of testing services with a high spec in-house test lab, which it introduced in 2004 and the introduction of a suite of test tools, designed by testers for testers, in 2007. Its revenues have grown by an average of 78% over the past three years and it is now one of very few independent UK testing specialists. NMQA has 53 staff and is headquartered in central London.
