Video, Data Centre Virtualisation, Contact Centre and Unified Communications, events demonstrate breadth of NextiraOne’s expertise

Lichfield, 26 September, 2011 – A wide range of business networking themes, from video conferencing to virtualisation, including Data Centres, Unified Communications and Contact Centre topics, will be the subject of a series of seminars, workshops and bootcamps and exhibitions planned by NextiraOne, Europe’s leading expert in communications services, this Autumn.

Designed to help businesses and organisations to gain the most from their network and communications solutions, NextiraOne’s events will build on the company’s successful mix of theory, technical information and practical hands-on exercises. Demonstrations illustrate dramatic results: how to reduce energy costs by up to 80%, cut capital expenditure by as much as 60%, achieve server storage space savings of over 50% and improve network throughput by up to 30%.

Kicking off with a “Virtualisation Bootcamp” on 28th September, the programme includes the following dates and topics:

- Wed 28 Sep European Virtualisation Bootcamp/Workshop

- 4th – 5th Oct Alcatel-Lucent Dynamic Tour – London

- Thu 13 Oct How much energy and space does your Data Centre waste?

- 19-20th Oct IP Expo

- Fri 4th Nov Does your customer services operation work seamlessly?

- Wed 16th Nov Alcatel-Lucent & Lifesize Immersive Video demonstration – VIP Lunch & Networking (Video and CC)

The first event will take place on 28th September: NextiraOne’s European “Virtualisation Bootcamp” will demonstrate how to design, architect, install and operate a lean virtualisation infrastructure based on a combination of Cisco’s Unified Computing System (UCS), VMware vSphere 4.0 and Nexus 1000v. To be held at Cisco’s offices at Bedfont Lakes in Middlesex, the event will be run in association with Cisco, NetApp and VMware. It will show participants how this combined solution enables the consolidation of mission-critical servers into a fully virtualised infrastructure, achieving significant cost and power savings. This one-day event combines theory and hands-on experience. This event has attracted so many participants that it will be repeated in November.

Events in October include a seminar entitled “How much energy and space does your Data Centre Waste?” To be held at Lotus Renault GP’s premises in Oxfordshire, the seminar tackles the subject of wasted space and energy in the Data Centre, highlighting the fact that Data Centres and Communications Rooms in many organisations are extremely inefficient, underutilised and wasteful in energy and space.

Working with its strategic partners - Cisco, VMware and NetApp – NextiraOne will use the event to illustrate how it can help businesses reduce energy costs, capital expenditure and server storage space requirements whilst improving network throughput. This will drive performance efficiencies, and deliver a dynamic, agile and flexible Data Centre which is instantly scalable and quickly provisioned using virtualised technology. This is an extremely popular theme and the seminar will be run again at Cisco’s Finsbury Park offices in London in November.

In November, NextiraOne is running a Contact Centre Seminar that will focus on the challenges businesses face in delivering seamless multi-channel services.  Managing this experience is vital to guarantee that the customer’s journey is seamless and to ensure continuing loyalty and satisfaction rates.  Targeted at Customer Services and Contact Centre Management this event is taking place at Lotus Renault GP in Oxfordshire.

A second event on 16th November will illustrate NextiraOne’s capability in delivering Alcatel-Lucent solutions, in particular in Video Conferencing. To be held at London’s iconic Swiss Re Tower (known as the “Gherkin” Building), the NextiraOne/Alcatel-Lucent Lifesize Immersive Video Demo will highlight the dramatic benefits of a Video conferencing solution in increasing efficiency and reducing business travel and the associated cost and time savings.

A final Data Centre seminar - Dynamic Data Centres for the Agile Organisation - will take place at NextiraOne’s Lichfield headquarters on 1st December.

Seminars are free of charge and open to anyone to attend. To view a full list of forthcoming events please visit: www.nextiraone.eu/uk/events
