Consolidation, Virtualisation and Business Continuity Remain key areas of growth as businesses aim for maximum value from their ICT investments
Paris, 20 February 2013 – NextiraOne, a leading provider of communication and Data Centre solutions, has achieved over 50% growth in Data Centre/Cloud Solutions business in Europe in 2012. This is the third successive year in which the company has achieved such outstanding results, against a backdrop of very challenging economic conditions and an overall growth in IT spend in Europe of around 5% during 2012. Most of NextiraOne’s Data Centre growth has come from overall Data Centre consolidation and technology refresh, Desktop Virtualisation and Business Continuity projects.
“NextiraOne has put tremendous effort into its Data Centre/Cloud business across Europe and this exceptional growth is therefore distributed across all the countries in which we operate,” explained Aman Khan, Managing Director Europe, Data Centre and Cloud Business. “Austria, France, Italy, Iberia, Hungary and the UK have shown remarkable growth. In particular Data Centre consolidation and technology refresh, followed by Desktop Virtualisation in certain markets such as Healthcare and Education and then Business Continuity solutions remain the top solutions in our mid-to-large size market segments.”
NextiraOne has made significant investments in this area of its business in recent years in order to expand its portfolio of Data Centre and Private Cloud Solutions and develop the expertise of its people. The company is now successfully selling business to enterprises outside its existing customer base, with around 30% of the Data Centre business in 2012 coming from new customers. “This confirms that our approach in developing a focused Data Centre portfolio based on our strategic technology partners, including Cisco, NetApp, VMWare, Panduit and EMC, was the right one,” added Aman Khan.
Driving Data Centre growth in 2013
NextiraOne is continuing to build on the success it has achieved by adding to its range of solutions during 2013, including the addition of new Cloud Management, Cloud Integration and Future Workspace solutions. Customers are looking for intelligent solutions to manage their complete private and hybrid clouds in order to optimise the productivity and efficiency of their IT. NextiraOne continues to expand its portfolio in this area, including an innovative solution for Cloud management from Cloupia, a company recently acquired by Cisco.
NextiraOne also has extensive expertise in Managed Services across Europe, for both in-country and pan-European customers. The company continues to significantly extend its portfolio, particularly in the area of Data Centre Managed Services.
Aman Khan concluded: “Whilst these new initiatives are exciting and promising for the future, we will of course continue to do all the ‘right things’ that have helped us to our tremendous success in 2012 and previous years! We have set very challenging objectives for this year and are actively working towards achieving them.”
