Satellite Controlled Tractors to Tackle EC Agricultural Policy

The Toughest (and Smallest) Data Centre in the World

More Technology that Responds to Human Touch and Gestures

And Much More….

For the fifth consecutive year, New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE) will present a selection of exciting Kiwi IT businesses in Hall 2 Stand B24.

The eleven companies in attendance will be divided into four core themes:

1.   Technology to Touch & Play With
2.   Hardware: Secured and Monitored
3.   Business Software: latest in financial, retail and payment software
4.   Living and working in New Zealand

TracMap GPS in Tractor Cabs Keeps Farmers on top of paperwork
Crop spraying is tightly regulated and the authorities need to know what was applied, where and when. Keeping up with the paperwork can be time consuming for farmers. CeBIT will be an opportunity to see how the world’s first and only GPS in the tractor cabs can ensure productivity gains and automatic compliance reporting in one simple to use and cost effective system.

Armoured Server Room in a Box
Need to run a data centre in a harsh or extremely unsecured location like a construction site or remote facility? New Zealand company Thureon provides an elegant solution – a complete server room in a compact, armoured box built to resist the worst conditions possible. The Armarac is tough enough to stop thieves, vandals and accidental damage but also offers protection from water, dust and fire.

Touch Technology Gets Even More Interactive
New Zealand is one of the world’s leaders in touch and gesture screen technology. NextWindow and Fingertapps will showcase how this technology can be applied everywhere from smart phones to huge displays. A centrepiece of the stand will be a touch screen coffee table, which will not only display information about all the New Zealand IT companies featured at the show but it will also allow for games to be played and multimedia demos to be viewed. A special feature is the dynamic orientation: The text and pictures shown on the screen change orientation depending on what side of the table you are standing on. Visitors to the stand will be able to observe how the table allows many people to work simultaneously on content and exchange it.

Kiwis landing in hall 2
Kiwis do fly after all! If you want to see what New Zealand is like, play the brand new viral game at www.kiwikatapult.com and you could win a trip for two to New Zealand thanks to Air New Zealand.  All you need to do is catapult the adventurous kiwi from the Auckland Sky Tower into the sky and around the world towards CeBIT in Hanover in this classic power angle game. If you time it just right he may be able to catch a free ride on a passing Air New Zealand plane. By playing the game all participants will get the chance to win a pair of Premium Economy tickets from Europe to New Zealand – Good luck.
