comparetheware.com offers businesses the most comprehensive resource for finding and comparing IT products and trusted technology suppliers

Newmarket, UK – 24th July 2013 – comparetheware.com today announced the launch of its new IT search portal that makes it easier for UK businesses to find and compare technology solutions, suppliers and advisors.

Using comparetheware.com, businesses can search for and compare detailed information on over 1 million technology products from 1,300 different manufacturers, across the entire IT spectrum, including security solutions, cloud services, networking equipment and computer hardware, and gain access to over 125 accredited IT suppliers and service providers from across the country.

The IT search portal unveiled today offers businesses:

Detailed information on manufacturers and their solutions and the ability to compare product information

A free, quick and easy way to find skilled IT suppliers, systems integrators and service providers

Unlimited downloads of case studies and white papers to help with choosing the right technology product and partner.

comparetheware.com is designed for both technical and non-technical users and provides a one-stop online resource for businesses. Research from comparetheware.com* shows that over 3 in 5 (63%) of small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) surveyed would use the Internet to find IT product information/ suppliers, followed by past experience (60%) and personal recommendations (58%). Its research also shows that over half (56%) of SMB decisions relating to new IT requirements are made by company directors and owners, with a third of companies with an annual turnover of £10m or more making technology decisions with their internal IT team. However, 20% of these businesses surveyed said they don’t feel that they have the right in-house experience to make IT decisions and over a fifth (22%) say they wouldn’t find it easy to find expert IT advice.

“Businesses have an incredible range of IT services and technologies available to them to grow and develop their organisations. With so many choices it can be hard to keep pace with new developments, know what solutions to select or where to find specialist knowledge,” said Mike Worby, co-founder of compareware.com. “With comparetheware.com, we set out to make it easy for businesses to see what is available, find the solutions that best fit their needs and source the expertise they need to make the right choices. By having this resource at their fingertips businesses can move forward with their IT decisions in faster time.”

*Research commissioned by comparetheware.com. All figures, unless otherwise stated, are from YouGov Plc. Total sample size was 562 SME decision-makers, of whom 551 say their organisation use IT. Fieldwork was undertaken between 8th and 12th July 2013. The survey was carried out online.
