Partnership with Stibo System ensures quality product data as a basis for growth
READING, UK – 20th March 2014 – Stibo Systems, the global leader in multi-domain Master Data Management (MDM) solutions, has been appointed to assist the NEDIS Group in realising its ambitious growth targets via master data management.
Part of the Swiss Datwyler Group, NEDIS Group is one of the major players in the field of consumer electronics and accessories in Europe. NEDIS owns nine proprietary brands and distributes more than 300 exclusive and licensed brands to 50,000 retailers and e-tailers in 50 countries via online stores and catalogues.
Best-in-class master data is seen as being a crucial component of the Group’s strategy to triple its turnover in the next three years. This growth will enable it to offer effective and relevant selection criteria to its target customer base, as well as allowing NEDIS to carry out high quality analysis of its business intelligence.
The implementation of Stibo Systems’ enterprise platform STEP will enable NEDIS to create one single source of truth for product master data, leading to improvements in the quality of both existing and future master data. In addition, optimising business processes via STEP’s workflows and business rules will provide a basis for structural data exchange between NEDIS and its sister company Distrelec.
Ultimately, STEP will provide NEDIS Group with a basis for offering structured high-quality master data across the supply chain and to its end customers via all modern communication channels.
Jack Breukers, Senior ICT Manager at NEDIS Group, said of the partnership, “Implementing STEP is a key part of building a basis for further growth. The platform’s processes and procedures will help us to cement our reputation as the organisation that offers the best and most complete master data across all of its products. For NEDIS Group, our master data will become a unique selling point.”
Mark Thorpe, Managing Director, Stibo Systems UK, added, “An innovative product offering and efficient supply chain are essential to success in a business model such as that used by NEDIS, and we believe that we can add great value with STEP. I want to welcome NEDIS as our new customer and am looking forward to a partnership that allows us to support the Group in reaching its growth targets.”
