Online community site by iBAHN sees authority grow among event and meetings professionals in six months since launch
(London, February 27, 2012) – My Meeting Professional (
www.mymeetingprofessional.com), the online hub for event and meetings planners, celebrates its first six months with new partners and continued growth.
Joining the My Meeting Professional (MMP) team are Ready2Spark, led by experienced marketer Lara McCulloch-Carter; Planet Planit, with Paul Cook focusing on hybrid events, and Ben Cole, head of Inspired Live Experience. Lara and her team will be providing regular content around the events sector and marketing news while Paul will be keeping the MMP community up to date with the latest information about developments in hybrid strategies and Ben will share first-hand experience of event planning.
The trio joins MMP content partners Big Hospitality, Velvet Chainsaw and Symon Dacon. The MMP hub shares latest views and news in the events, conferences and meetings sector but most importantly enables professionals in these areas to learn, share and develop their skills. The site is supported by iBAHN, a global leader in IP platform-based systems and broadband technologies for the hospitality industry.
Mike Clanton, MMP team leader and EMEA manager iBAHN Enterprise Conference Solutions (ECS) says: “We saw the urgent need for an event sector hub that connected professionals and delivered accessible information at the right time.
“The technical requirement for event planners has grown rapidly over the past 18 months. They now need to understand a range of connectivity technologies and work with partners if they do not have that knowledge. To ensure maximum return on investment, event planners have to make network connectivity a central element of all meeting design.
”We’ll be helping to support this requirement, building partnerships that add more relevant and essential information to MMP in 2012, ensuring the community builds its knowledge and finds the best guidance.”
The website has led the way over the past six months in the development of understanding and knowledge in the sector of the growth of hybrid events, the technical complexities of these, the technology expertise demanded in planning and producing events, network and internet connectivity needs and the explosive growth of mobile networked devices, among many other themes.
Graeme Powell, MD iBAHN EMEA, comments: “My Meeting Professional certainly made its mark in 2011 and we are committed to developing it further this year, providing much needed technical and market sector advice for event and meetings professionals.”
