Demand for email SaaS drives new Alliance, Technology and System Integrator Partnerships
LONDON, April 8th, 2009 –
Mimecast®, a holistic email management company offering SaaS-based
email archiving,
continuity,
security and policy control, today announced it has expanded its partner program to include Alliance, Technology and System Integrator Partnerships.
The company has experienced increased demand for its SaaS services from the partner community, as demonstrated by 318% revenue growth in the first nine months of fiscal 2009 (to Dec 31st 2008). The
Mimecast Partner Program will expand to incorporate Alliance Partners, partnerships with both a technology and commercial engagement; Technology Partners, i.e. partnerships where Mimecast’s offerings will integrate with other vendor technology or where there is a complementary technology fit; and System Integrators – to meet increasing demand from global and local system integrators to add Mimecast to their portfolio of customer offerings.
Julian Martin, Director of Business Development at Mimecast says: “Our partner ecosystem has expanded rapidly with many more partners connecting their customers online to the Mimecast service. The interest from the wider channel community reflects the market appetite for streamlining IT and selecting more efficient and cost effective technologies. IT departments are realising that running all hardware and software in-house is no longer realistic and are turning to their IT partner for guidance and to recommend new solutions.”
John Tyreman, Director of IT, Liberata comments, “We switched to Mimecast ourselves in March last year as we could easily see that it would reduce the cost of managing email, help improve internal processes and enforce compliance. In addition it also provides a commercial and technical advantage for our customer base and working with Mimecast in their Partner Program has provided us with a great opportunity to pass this benefit onto our clients.”
Martin continues, “The ergonomic efficiencies and recurring revenue model is compelling for the channel – hence the level of interest we are getting from our peers in the industry. Including a distinct Alliance, Technology, and System Integrator aspect along with the core channel program is necessary to properly support these partnerships.” Adding, “You will see a series of key partnerships over the coming quarters, that will significantly broaden the go-to-market reach and access to Mimecast services”.
