Support added for Microsoft Lync and Voice over IP

CeBIT, Hanover, Germany, March 2nd, 2011: Derdack (www.derdack.com), provider ofenterprise notification software and mobile messaging platforms today announced that it has launched the latest version of message master® Enterprise Alert which sets new standards of intelligent and rapid information distribution. message master® Enterprise Alert 2011 now "communication enables" Microsoft Systems Center Service Manager through sophisticated closed-loop notifications and efficient remote incident management. Other new features include a Blackberry application for alarm management, VoIP and the support for the latest Microsoft unified communications products.

Upon creation of incident tickets in Systems Center Service Manager, message master® Enterprise Alert 2011 notifies relevant service technicians and analysts using the full range of unified communication options such as SMS, MMS, email, IM and voice. Notified service staff can acknowledge incident tickets on-the-go and the system automatically escalates in case of non-delivery or a missing reply. At the same time users can be notified while the incident resolution is under way.

In order to make full use of all available communication channels, Derdack's enterprise notification software now supports Microsoft Office Communications Server (OCS) and the new Microsoft Lync Server. For customers using OCS and Lync Server, message master® Enterprise Alert 2011 provides plug and play functionality for sophisticated notification and communication workflows.

Matthes Derdack, Managing Director of Derdack said, "We have invested in building on the interoperability with leading IT monitoring and helpdesk systems to make it even easier for enterprises to rapidly respond to critical events in their 24x7 operational infrastructure.  message master® Enterprise Alert 2011 greatly extends the functionality offered by the Microsoft Systems Center family of products by adding two-way closed-loop notifications to remotely notify relevant staff of critical incidents."

To capitalise on the growth of smartphones for remote workers, message master® Enterprise Alert 2011 features a new ‘app' for Blackberry devices.  This allows users to receive push notifications for support tickets which can be acknowledged and managed via the smartphone for greater convenience and efficiency. It empowers technical staff to more effectively work remotely and manage tickets, using media rich information such as diagrams, pdfs and pictures where necessary.  Apps for other smartphone devices such as the iPhone and Windows Phone 7will follow later this year.

message master® Enterprise Alert 2011 features improvements to the manageability and administration of the product and a revised user interface ensures that it is even easier to use.  Resilience and redundancy have also been strengthened to ensure that it meets the 24x7 IT infrastructure requirements of large enterprises.  With VoIP becoming an increasingly important channel for corporate voice communications, message master® Enterprise Alert 2011 provides full VoIP support using industry standards and protocols, e.g. for interoperability with Cisco orAlcatel systems

Maarten Goet, Managing Consultant of Derdack local implementation partner and Microsoft System Center expert Inovativ added, "Communication enabling existing monitoring products is becoming more and more relevant as they form part of the critical infrastructure for large enterprises.  message master® Enterprise Alert 2011 represents a major step forward for companies that want to add intelligent, closed-loop notifications and unified communications to vital IT monitoring systems."

Matthes Derdack concluded, "The addition of support for the Lync Server reinforces the complementary nature of message master® Enterprise Alert 2011 for enterprises looking to leverage their investment in Microsoft IT monitoring and management products.  The addition of Blackberry smartphone support is part of our drive to make it as easy as possible for mobile users to efficiently manage incidents on-the-go."

Derdack will be exhibiting on the Microsoft stand A26 in Hall 4 at CeBIT from 1-5 March 2011 (Derdack is on stand P22).
