End-users give Phocas vote of confidence at prestigious London awards ceremony
Oxford, UK October 15, 2010: Phocas, the global provider of simple, intuitive Business Intelligence software (BI), has scooped the best business intelligence category at the
Software Satisfaction Awards for the second year in a row.
Votes from the company’s own global customer base helped Phocas edge out Adaptive Planning and business software giants Sage to bag the award for Business Intelligence & Corporate Performance Management. The win is the second time in as many years that the company has been voted for in favour of big name competition, having taken the coveted prize ahead of business software behemoths IBM, Oracle and SAP in 2009.
The Software Satisfaction Awards recognise the views of genuine buyers and end users, as the results are largely based on a survey of approximately 7,000 business software users.
Reacting to the win, Phocas’ managing director Paul Magee said, “Winning awards is always fantastic, but it’s particularly gratifying when it’s the result of our customers’ votes. The reason we went into business in the first place was to deliver business intelligence that’s powerful, intuitive and which anyone can use; so we’re delighted to have our customers give their endorsement, not once but twice in a row.”
Magee continued, “The feedback we consistently heard from end users was BI had become too big and over-complicated. We’ve set out to change that by bringing our customers an easy-to-use BI solution that not only helps them turn data into information but crucially helps them turn this information into results.”
