Partnership Delivers Solutions Based On Ivory Service Architect, Industry's Leading Mainframe Integration Suite, to German Market

ATLANTA, 6th May, 2010 – GT Software, a provider of integration solutions that leverage mainframe resources, today announced an international distribution agreement for the company’s Ivory Service Architect product line with becom – A Computacenter Division. A multinational provider of information technology consultancy, system design and engineering services to medium-sized and large enterprises, becom will represent the GT Software Ivory solutions suite in Germany.

Ivory is an integrated toolset that enables rapid integration of mainframe assets leveraging companies' investments in applications and data. A proven solution in the most demanding of applications infrastructures, Ivory enables developers too quickly and easily create and publish Web services, developing right-sized composite business services with little or no training.

With its decades of experience developing and selling solutions for both the IBM mainframe and Microsoft platforms, becom is one of the most successful and highly-regarded partners in their territory. The company has a strong track record in areas of infrastructure management, where its experience will be especially valuable in helping customers deploy legacy mainframe solutions in the world of Web services.

Ivory supports deployment of mainframe-based Web services across the widest range of platforms, including zLinux and zIIP and zAAP specialty engines, giving organizations broad flexibility in where they choose to host integration-related workload.

“The Computacenter division becom, a top-tier partner of IBM, Microsoft and other vendors understands what it takes to collaborate with the best technology providers. In an area like enterprise applications integration, this means GT Software," said Michael Sieger, becom’s head of professional services and manager of IBM System z sales and services. "We align ourselves with latest developments and advanced technologies, in order to enable the integration of legacy mainframe applications and Web services. Ivory Service Architect delivers on that priority, and represents an outstanding opportunity for our expansion in the German market.”

“becom has a track record of excellence in all project phases, demonstrating a skill set that is vital to the success of integration projects,” said Wilson Rains, vice president of global alliances for GT Software. “As companies strive to draw more value from their current investment in mainframe resources and develop or redeploy with Web services, they rely on market leaders. A strategic relationship with becom is critical to our success, and that of our customers, in the German market.”
