LONDON, 15 June 2009 - Popular voucher search engine
BView today announced a partnership with Google, which will see BView providing money-saving vouchers on the popular Google Maps search.
Any vouchers created by local businesses on
www.bview.co.uk will automatically feature in Google Maps, adding tremendous visibility to a sector which has often struggled to reach target customers online. The move enables Google users to save money locally while supporting merchants in their neighbourhoods.
With most consumers spending 80 per cent of their disposable income within 10 miles of their homes, BView provides an efficient mechanism for local businesses to actively target and engage with their local customer base.
BView CEO Brad Liebmann said, "Google is the first major search engine to recognise the need for consumers to save money while supporting local businesses. We will be announcing more additions to the growing BView network of partners in the coming weeks."
The voucher market both online and offline has exploded over the last 12 months, with consumers reacting to the recession by trimming budgets. BView has seen a 10 fold rise in voucher downloads over the last 6 months.
BView aggregates vouchers from a large variety of partners, from etailers such as Dixons and Argos to restaurant chains such as Pizza Express, as well as local businesses across the UK. Any business can add a voucher to BView for free while vouchers are seen by hundreds of thousands of local searchers.
