Deal Increases Global Scalability, Expands Offerings and Opens the Asia-Pacific Market
Exigen Services, the leading next generation application outsourcing provider, today announced it has acquired China-based software outsourcing services provider Taihoo Technologies. Blending its industry leading expertise in distributed Agile development and its experienced, knowledgeable Eastern European team with the vast, well educated technical workforce in China, Exigen Services creates a more scalable, high quality delivery capability and improves economic performance for customers.
The move will also expand Exigen Services’ global delivery capabilities through ‘round the clock’ delivery to accelerate customer time-to-market, expand geographical diversity, and provide local support for Western companies in Asia. Bringing its expertise in enterprise software development in Financial Services, Media and Telecom to China, Exigen Services’ offerings will also expand to leverage Taihoo’s expertise in mobile computing, product lifecycle management (PLM), embedded development, and quality assurance.
To be known as Exigen Services China, the Suzhou-based delivery centre will have a base of skilled engineers who are fluent in English and average over five years of experience. Utilising Exigen Services’ experience in enterprise software development, a regional market development team will expand the client-base nationally in China, and give existing and future customers access to China’s well-educated work force. The team boasts some of the most highly-educated resources in the region, all graduating from top universities in China.
“Assuming responsibility for IT development projects and thereby reducing risk and improving economic performance has been Exigen Services’ priority since its inception,” said Alec Miloslavsky, CEO, Exigen Services. “Through the acquisition of Taihoo, we are now able to provide customers with greatly improved scalability without sacrificing quality for which we are known. In particular, customers who are entering China will now have access to local development through an existing trusted partner.”
“Our combined experience and expertise in innovative technologies and methodologies translates in to results for our customers who want to scale,” said Qili Zhang, CEO and founder, Taihoo Technologies. “Exigen Services’ ability to predictably deliver high-scale IT outsourcing projects also enables us to become a strategic partner for Chinese clients looking to implement integrated systems through a locally-based provider.”
"TaiHoo has been a valuable partner for us. Their ability to help reduce the normal IT risks associated with outsourcing further set them apart," said Ira Scharfglass, SVP Development, White Sky, Inc. "We're looking forward to continuing our relationship through Exigen Services and feel there is a natural similarity between the two companies that will complement each other nicely."
Exigen Services China will be lead by Taihoo founder, Qili Zhang, taking the position of General Manager. Mr. Zhang, a Top 10 High Tech Entrepreneur of Suzhou in 2005, has co-founded several high-tech companies before TaiHoo Technology, including Prisma Software, Starfics Software, Jiexun Technology and Suzsoft International. He has also held various leadership positions at Borland Software and Vox Technologies.
