Interoute, owner operator of Europe’s most advanced next-generation network, today announced compliance to SAS-70 Type I (Statement of Auditing Standards No. 70) for its Amsterdam, Berlin and Geneva Data Centre operations. This internationally recognised assurance standard demonstrates Interoute’s commitment to providing outstanding managed hosting solutions to the world’s leading corporations. The SAS-70 audits were completed by PwC, one of the world’s leading risk assurance consultants.
“SAS-70 is the definitive global risk management assurance standard for outsourced ICT solutions”, said Joe Stevens, Operations Risk Management Director at Interoute. “The SAS-70 control audit highlights the effectiveness of our compliance controls in both managing the operations and data risks for our customer’s critical solutions. It’s a significant accomplishment, built on our integration of ISO 27001 and ITIL industry best practices into our Data Centre operations”.
Managing the security and operations risks for outsourced ICT solutions is critical to the success of corporations in today’s demanding environment. Enterprises trusting their data to external service providers demand the highest levels of security and independent compliance assurance. The SAS-70 audit report highlights the effectiveness of the ISO 27001 and ITIL best practice controls integrated into Interoute’s managed hosting operations, and provides enterprises with the necessary assurance that their critical systems and data are protected from the ground to the cloud.
Interoute offers a full portfolio of managed hosting and security solutions to enterprises, providing dedicated capacity and protected transmission products, MPLS VPN, DDoS protection, firewalls, Intrusion Detection and Protection Services, as well as secure managed hosting solutions. Interoute has adopted and integrated industry best practice standards, SAS- 70, ISO 27001, PCI DSS and ITIL to secure the security and quality objectives for its customers. These controls are integrated across our entire product portfolio and operations processes.
Interoute plans to achieve compliance with SAS-70 Type II during 2011.
