Delivering retailers practical hands-on advice on how to make the most of multichannel business
London, 11th March: Leading multichannel solution provider eSellerPro is to launch a unique education programme at Internet Retailing Expo, 26-27 March 2014, to help retailers accelerate their ecommerce strategies.
eSellerPro is launching Marketplace University in partnership with ecommerce consultancy Genie and the Geek. The classroom based education programme delivers practical advice and best practice to enable retailers to achieve their multichannel objectives.
Marketplace University caters for retailers at all levels of marketplace experience with choice of three modules:
Launch – For retailers looking to start selling on marketplaces, this module provides the tools to build the foundations of a successful marketplace business.
Accelerate – Aimed at retailers who have experience of selling on marketplaces and are looking to enhance their skills and diversify their sales channels.
Extend – For brands, manufacturers and large retailers who are looking to extend their existing sales channels and take advantage of the explosive marketplace growth.
The programme gives retailers the opportunity to participate in workshop sessions, which provide a hands-on advice and support, whilst networking with like-minded industry peers. Marketplace University themes include brand management, cross border trade and tools for online selling.
Tayyab, from Genie and the Geek explains why the partnership with eSellerPro promises to be such a successful combination for retailers:
“In order to really prepare retailers for developing their marketplace business, we needed to offer true value. We could only do this by combining our knowledge of using eBay, and eSellerPro’s extensive experience of managing online marketplace solutions for businesses. The courses are all-encompassing and will provide training and support which is both practical and usable.
“By offering three different modules, we make the content relevant to the current experience level of a retailer. This means we are able to avoid generic overviews and get down to the specifics of what you need to do to be successful on marketplaces.”
Andrew Norman, Director of Sales and Marketing at eSellerPro, explains:
“Consumer buyer behaviour is changing dynamically, so retailers are having to diversify by selling on new channels to maximise their coverage and satisfy consumer buying preferences.
As marketplaces are increasingly becoming the shopping destination of choice, retailers are responding by building a marketplace presence, but unfortunately with insufficient marketplace experience.
“Our joint initiative with Genie and the Geek is to share our marketplace knowledge and experience to help retailers capitalise on the expanding marketplace opportunity.”
