Provider of solutions for online engagement launches aggressive local expansion programme
London, UK – November 15, 2010: EPiServer, the world’s fastest growing provider of platforms to drive online engagement, today announces aggressive expansion plans for the UK market, including a wholly-owned UK subsidiary, new customer and partner initiatives and the launch on the UK market of new services, including EPiServer Everweb.
The company aims to grow its organisation in the UK by at least 50% over the next 12 months, building on its established base of over 330 UK customers using EPiServer across 2,500 websites, including Reed Business Information, Bauer Consumer Media, Cunard/P&O Cruises, Silverstone, Toshiba, Mazda and the NHS. Strategic partnerships will also play a vital role, as EPiServer develops its relationships with some of the UK’s leading digital agencies like LBi, Syzygy, TwentySix, Netcel, RAPP, Redweb, Fortune Cookie and Rufus Leonard.
Developing the offering to match the needs on the UK market is central to EPiServer’s UK expansion plans. Customers on the UK market have high demands on availability for their online presence and EPiServer can meet those needs through the company’s service, EPiServer Everweb, a high availability web hosting solution and a natural accompaniment to EPiServer’s existing portfolio of sophisticated solutions for managing content, community, commerce and communication.
EPiServer Everweb joins EPiServer Commerce, an integrated e-commerce platform for content, commerce, community and communications that was launched in June. And, when added to an increased focus on education for partners and customers alike, the company is able to offer an impressive combination of products and services to the UK market.
As part of EPiServer’s expansion plans, the company has also acquired Harbour Software, which formerly ran its UK operations. The owner, Neal Perry, will build on his proven success and experience in the UK to drive operations as Country Manager for the newly formed EPiServer UK subsidiary.
Gustav Lagercrantz, COO, EPiServer, said: “The UK is a key part of our global expansion plans and the strategy we’re laying out today highlights our dedication to this important market. Developing strong relationships here has built a solid foundation upon which we’re now able to take the next steps, giving existing customers and partners even better access to training, products and our knowledgeable people.”
Neal Perry, UK Country Manager, EPiServer, said: “EPiServer has come a long way since its pure web content management origins. We now provide products spanning the four Cs – content, commerce, community and communications – and, most importantly, link them seamlessly together to ensure an integrated approach which drives results online.”
