Award-winning cloud solutions for multichannel citizen engagement and knowledge management available on UK government procurement portal

Slough, UK (November 25, 2013) – eGain (NASDAQ: EGAN), the leading cloud provider of multichannel customer engagement solutions, today announced that it has been appointed as an approved supplier by HM Government for its G-Cloud 4 initiative. Under the new G-Cloud 4 Framework Agreement, eGain has been selected for multichannel citizen engagement and knowledge management in the Software-as-a-Service category. Its solutions are available for procurement by UK public sector organisations through the government’s CloudStore portal.

G-Cloud is a UK Government initiative to encourage the adoption of cloud services in the public sector. The Programme is not just about IT, it’s about changing perceptions and encouraging a “Cloud First” approach, providing the right tools to help businesses unleash innovation from the front-line and from citizens, and helping public sector organisations become more flexible, agile and responsive to changing needs. The G-Cloud procurement framework is used by organisations such as the central government, local governments, health services, educational services, devolved administrations, emergency services, defence and not-for-profit organisations.

“eGain’s proven cloud and digital expertise in citizen engagement are at the intersection of the government’s CloudFirst and Digital by Default strategy,” said Mark Fenna, Head of Public Sector UK at eGain. “With the eGain platform now available in the G-Cloud 4 framework, public sector organisations have an opportunity to connect and transform digital citizen engagement across web, call centre, mobile and social touchpoints, powered by smart, consistent knowledge.”
