Deutsche Telekom’s process model to be certified against Business Process Framework (eTOM)
MORRISTOWN, NJ and BONN - January 31, 2011 - Deutsche Telekom AG is leading the industry as the first service provider to perform a TM Forum Frameworx Implementation Conformance Certification Assessment. Deutsche Telekom’s internal process model will be certified against TM Forum’s Business Process Framework (eTOM).
Deutsche Telekom will take leadership to reduce costs and risks for IT projects by requiring their suppliers to conform to TM Forum Frameworx. Deutsche Telekom will actively engage in the TM Forum’s collaboration program to define the Level 4 Business Process Framework (eTOM) elements. Furthermore Deutsche Telekom will contribute to the definition of reference processes which then are the basis for solutions provided by Frameworx compliant suppliers.
TM Forum’s Frameworx provides a blueprint for enterprise IT & processes for service providers, enabling all parts of the value chain to reduce risk, dramatically lower integration costs, and reduce time-to-market. Frameworx expands and integrates the Forum’s mature and successful NGOSS standards including Business Process (eTOM), Information (SID), and Application (TAM) Frameworks into an ITIL-aligned, full enterprise IT and process architecture.
TM Forum also offers Frameworx Product Conformance Certification, which allows suppliers to gain an independent assessment of an individual product’s conformance to the Frameworx standard. Independent certification by TM Forum coupled with standardized RFx templates being developed at the Forum enables the service provider community to substantially reduce the risk and costs associated with the procurement process.
