Technology leader to enable application migration at one of Europe’s largest telecommunications providers
London, 15th June 2010 – ChangeBASE AOK Limited, the global leader in automated application compatibility testing and remediation, today announces a deal that will prepare Deutsche Telekom’s business application estate for OS migrations.
Deutsche Telekom, one of Europe’s largest telecommunications providers and represented in 50 countries worldwide, has purchased ChangeBASE AOK to deliver automated application compatibility and remediation. In total, the company has purchased 1,000 Total AOK licenses and 666 Convert-It licenses for non-Microsoft-formatted applications.
In order to enable Deutsche Telekom’s business critical applications to be OS migration ready, ChangeBASE AOK will test – and where necessary automatically remediate – the application estate, in order to ensure their compatibility. The company will initially utilise ChangeBASE AOK in their German operation of 150,000 employees.
The contract follows a period of consultation in which Deutsche Telekom reviewed the AOK software against an alternative solution.
“When IT managers are looking at managing the migration to a new operating system across thousands of users, applications and computers it can seem a complex and daunting proposition,” says John Tate, Managing Director, ChangeBASE AOK. “However, with the right support in place this really doesn’t have to be the case. Whilst application compatibility is often regarded as the biggest hurdle in making the transition to a new operating system, ChangeBASE AOK ensures this aspect of migration is managed as efficiently and quickly as possible. We look forward to working with Deutsche Telekom now and into the future.”
