Data security pioneer Dr Simon Wiseman has joined Deep-Secure Ltd as Head of Development, bringing to the company 30 years' experience in the field of Government computer security.
Under new Chief Executive Miles Clee, Deep-Secure is building a team with the skills, experience and flexibility to help public and commercial organisations manage and share the most sensitive, high risk/high value information.
Simon joins from QinetiQ with an international reputation as a subject matter expert. His work has paved the way for a number of innovations in the field, such as classified information being handled with mainstream commercial software, the Domain Based Security method of risk assessment and also development of network security guards to perform 'deep content checking'.
Simon said: “I joined the company because it is commercially-focused and can therefore provide customers with peace of mind at a price they can afford.
“A lot of potential customers are not aware of the risks they are exposed to in their management of high value data. Others do recognise the risks but try to ignore them.
“The team at Deep-Secure can help them understand the problems, address their specific concerns and deliver the products that will make their lives easier. My job is to deliver the products that the company needs to satisfy those customers, both in business and in the public sector.”
Miles added: “We're delighted to welcome Simon to what is now a very strong Deep-Secure team. His reputation is second-to-none in this industry and having his expertise on hand strengthens considerably our offer to customers in the public and private sector.”
Simon is not the only newcomer to the Deep-Secure team. He is joined by Sharon Lewis who, with similar experience within the industry, is heading up Product Management, Andy Freke who joins the sales team looking at Government and Intelligence sectors and a team that have come across with Simon and Sharon to increase the internal development capacity with specialist skills. In addition Deep-Secure welcome Colonel (Ret.) John Doody and Colonel (Ret.)
