Interxion, a leading European provider of carrier-neutral colocation data centre services, announced today that CSC, the world's third-largest IT outsourcing specialist, has selected its Austrian facility to support CSC's Managed Services operations.

The move was driven by increasing customer demand for secure applications and infrastructure management services. To provide a secure, scalable, standards-based solution, CSC took a server room with an expandable cage in Interxion’s VIE1 Vienna facility.

Carrier neutrality and connectivity were also key criteria in CSC’s decision-making process. The VIE1 facility provides direct access to approximately 100 carriers and ISPs, enabling high-speed and cost-effective implementation of peering agreements. In addition, the facility hosts a switch for VIX, the Vienna Internet Exchange.
