– Connected Business launches high level event where cloud means business –
London, 14 October 2013: To address the growing influence of business decision makers on cloud computing investment, Imago Techmedia announces the Cloud Leaders Summit, a business-focused conference for CEOs, CFOs, COOs and line of business heads from enterprise organisations across all industry sectors.
Research firm Gartner predicts that by 2017, more IT purchasing decisions will be made by the CMO and other line of business executive than by the CIO. By the same date, the global public cloud services market will be worth $131 billion.
Cloud computing changes the nature of the way business is conducted - and it is against that backdrop that the Cloud Leaders Summit has been developed. The event's agenda has been shaped by the increasing need for business and IT to work together and be fully informed about the opportunities of moving to the cloud and maximizing its potential for commercial benefit.
The agenda has been devised and chaired by acknowledged cloud computing industry specialist Stuart Lauchlan, co-founder of digital enterprise analysis site diginomica.
“There is an undeniable need for all senior corporate executives to get to grips with the potential of cloud computing to revolutionise the way that their organisations do business. We've designed the Cloud Leaders Summit to allow business leaders to engage in thought-leading conversations with peers, cloud industry experts and innovative business thinkers. No sales pitches, no PowerPoint - just genuine insight and compelling conversations.
"This will be the event where cloud really does mean business," says Lauchlan.
The Cloud Leaders Summit takes place at Olympia on 4th March 2014 and will run alongside Imago Techmedia’s successful Connected Business and Enterprise Applications shows, providing organisations with both strategic and tactical overviews of cloud computing.
“Connected Business has grown in scope to cover a broader set of technologies and industries,” says Duncan Kirk, divisional director, Imago Techmedia. “Cloud is an excellent example of how a trend has transformed the IT space changing behaviours, the decision making process and ultimately business requirements. The Cloud Leaders Summit addresses these and other issues from a business perspective and provides the ideal opportunity for senior executives to gain a deeper understanding of how cloud will affect their organisations and the benefits that it can bring.”
