Managed services provider is named in The Sunday Times Tech Track 100 list of companies with the fastest-growing sales for the second year running.
19 September 2011, London -
Comtact, a leading provider of IT and Telecoms solutions, was yesterday named as one of the 100 fastest-growing private tech companies in the UK for the second year in a row. The company came in at number 42 (after being placed 13th in 2010) in the Sunday Times Tech Track, which is compiled by Fast Track and published in the newspaper each September with a national award ceremony held in November.
From its launch in 2005, when founder Dominic List remortgaged his flat and sold his car to raise the capital to start the business, Comtact’s sales over the last five years have risen on average 87% a year. Turnover grew from £1.5m in 2007 to £6.8m in 2010, and the company will bill more than £10m this year.
With offices in London, Weybridge and Stoke on Trent, and a network operations centre in Northampton, the company provides converged voice, data and networking solutions, such as hosted applications and disaster recovery, on both a national and international scale – this year the company is able to say that it has delivered IT projects on five different continents.
Dominic List comments:
“We are delighted to see our rapid growth recognised in this way. Our success has largely been down to the emphasis we place on hiring market-leading technology specialists who take a business analytics approach first, and design bespoke technology solutions to meet the fit closely with the client’s requirements. Our solutions fill a gap in the mid-market for enterprise-size companies that are not getting the standard of service they require from the very largest IT and Telecoms players. We are increasingly punching above our weight to land global enterprise clients, such as RBS, Axa and Sage. I would like to congratulate the whole Comtact team on this achievement.”
