02 June 2008, London, UK – CIO Connect today announced the appointment of Lucy Docherty as European Sales Director. Lucy will be responsible for developing CIO Connect’s existing UK business and European expansion, drawing upon more than 20 years experience in the technology analyst and research industry.

Prior to joining CIO Connect, Lucy spent 13 years with the analyst group IDC where she was engaged as VP of Sales EMEA and also Acting Managing Director for the Benelux region.  Prior to joining IDC, Lucy worked at Dataquest and Stanford Research International in Europe in a variety of sales and account management roles.

The appointment follows a management-led buy out of CIO Connect from the National Computing Centre in February this year. CIO Connect offers tailored networking services and facilitates experience sharing between members, as well as leadership development training, for top CIOs in major organisations based in the UK.
