London, 14th September 2010 – Chase Paymentech Europe Limited, a leading merchant acquirer and payment processor, has been shortlisted for two Retail Systems Awards for its high level of customer service and Orbital Payment Gateway. Now in its fifth year the awards recognise excellence and innovation in information technology within the UK retail sector. The awards ceremony will take place on 28th October at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London’s Park Lane.
Chase Paymentech is shortlisted for the ‘Best use of technology in the hospitality and leisure sector’ for its work helping lowcostholidays.com reduce the number of fraudulent bookings whilst lowering the cost of handling customer not present (CNP) payments.
The ‘Card and Payments solution of the year’ award will be presented to a retailer who has excelled in the field of cards and payments. Chase Paymentech’s entry for its Orbital Payment Gateway was one of three entries shortlisted for the award. The Orbital Payment Gateway supports thousands of merchants internationally and has processed over 1.3bn transactions over the last three years. The gateway’s stability, flexibility and scalability ensures that high growth merchants are equipped for international growth.
