Centrix Software, workspace management solutions expert, and Exoprise, a provider of cloud based monitoring and enablement solutions for Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications, today announced a strategic partnership to enable joint partners and customers to deploy Microsoft™ Office 365 solutions faster and at a lower cost.
The two companies are collaborating to integrate their Centrix WorkSpace Office 365 iQ and Exoprise CloudReady® Insight solutions to provide a complete business case justification and pre-migration assessment of Office 365 migrations.
Centrix Software’s 365 iQ solution analyzes application usage data against requirements for Office 365, across the entire IT estate, by providing the following features and benefits;
Matching office applications to the right users, based on their existing usage of tools
Accurately determining Office 365 plans and license costs, minimizing over-spend
Identifying which users are ready for migration now and what actions are required for those not yet ready to move
Determining where users currently access their content from to efficiently plan data migration
Significantly accelerating overall migration time
Exoprise CloudReady® Insight analyzes the existing Exchange server to determine what mail features are used, quantify capital and operational cost benefits of moving to the cloud, and segment users into powerful, smart, and simple lists; that can be used to prioritize and sequence migration efforts. By combining the two sets of data into a single report, Centrix Software and Exoprise provide complete coverage of the entire productivity suite, from the end user desktop perspective to deep analysis of the Exchange server infrastructure.
“In order to deal with the increasing demand by users for flexible access to productivity applications anywhere and anyplace, a shift away from static application management techniques to understanding real usage patterns is needed, said Wally MacDermid, Head of US Operations for Centrix Software. “The WorkSpace Office 365 iQ solution identifies critical usage data and dependencies on Microsoft Office to optimize the migration and ensures the optimal and rapid adoption of Office 365. We are excited to combine our offering with Exoprise to provide partners and customers insight into both the end user environment as well as the Exchange infrastructure.”
“Moving mission-critical applications like Office to the cloud is not an impulse decision. IT organizations need to build a clear business case with a focus on cost, user readiness and migration planning,” said Warren Mead, vice president of sales and business development for Exoprise. “By combining analytics from CloudReady Insight and Centrix Software’s 365 iQ Workspace Management solution, we are providing our channel partners and customer IT teams with the comprehensive, data-driven cloud readiness assessment and planning recommendations they need to make a smarter, faster and more cost effective move to Office 365.”
“One of the biggest challenges we see when migrating customers from a legacy, installed application to a cloud-based application like Office 365 is that they aren’t sure where to start,” said Chris Pyle, CEO, Champion Solutions Group. “Customers want to get quick wins to drive user adoption and the combination of the Centrix and Exoprise solutions enables us to start more quickly and ensure a faster and more cost effective overall project.”
