Bull, one of Europe's leading IT players, has expanded its equipment housing requirements with Interxion, a leading European provider of carrier-neutral colocation data centres.
Interxion Netherlands currently houses IT equipment for several Bull clients, including DetailResult Services, the shared service centre for retail group Dekamarkt and the “Dirk van den Broek companies”. Bull manages and maintains the IT infrastructure, monitoring it remotely with round-the-clock secure access whenever required. The agreement for additional equipped space includes an option to expand into a second Interxion data centre, ensuring that Bull and its customers can continue their expansion in the coming years, while maintaining consistently high levels of service and availability.
“The outsourcing of infrastructure management is, for many companies, a major move,” said Jeroen Lulof, Sales Manager at Bull Holland. “For these companies IT is of great importance, and they put this critical component in our hands. This means we need trustworthy partners like Interxion – partners that can offer the right levels of service and reliability to us and our clients.”
“We are delighted to expand our relationship with Bull,” said Michel van den Assem, Interxion Netherlands Managing Director. “The extra data centre space will offer 2N UPS power and N+1 cooling, as well as advanced alarm and monitoring systems, supported by the latest high-density power configurations. In addition, in line with Bull’s strong environmental credentials, all power will be generated from renewable energy sources such as wind, biomass, or hydro.”
