Reading, UK, 03 May 2013 - Berkeley PR, the award winning international PR agency is delighted to announce that it has been shortlisted for three Gold awards in this year’s prestigious EMEA Gold Sabre Awards 2013. Campaigns for clients Lakeside, Iron Mountain and Kaspersky Lab have been named finalists in the awards demonstrating strength and excellence across the board at the Reading-based agency.

The agency has been nominated in the Pan-European Programme category for its high profile PR campaign ‘What Kind of criminal are you?’ which pushed client Iron Mountain into the headlines across Europe. The research-based campaign highlighted how office workers across Europe are prepared to infringe all sorts of rules, and sometimes even break the law, just to hold on to information they believe they are entitled to.

Berkeley PR has been nominated in the Retailers category for its work with, Lakeside Shopping Centre. Berkeley PR decided to meet the festive battle for media mindshare in the retail industry head on with a publicity stunt featuring Made in Chelsea star, Louise Thompson wearing a dress made out of 5,000 holly leaves, created by a talented student fashion designer. The dress was unveiled at the OK! Celebrity Christmas party and secured 13 pieces of high quality coverage in nationals and glossy magazines.

Berkeley PR’s third nomination is for the Technology: Software & Services category, as a result of its work with Kaspersky Lab to communicate the discovery of the world’s most complex cyber-weapon to date, Flame. By carefully managing the media outreach, coverage was achieved on the BBC, becoming one of the five ‘most read’ stories on BBC News Online in 2012 and was followed by a further 213 pieces of coverage in titles including Financial Times, Metro and The Wall Street Journal.
