New SpeedCore™ platform powers latest application delivery controllers
Desktop Direct enables IT managers to securely replicate & manage staff desktops on iPads, tablets and smartphones for mobile workers
London June 27, 2011 – Array Networks today announced that it has appointed distributor, Nubeon LLP, an Ampito Group company, as value added distributor for its next generation application, desktop and cloud service delivery technology.
Nubeon will focus on recruiting additional value added resellers (VARS) and system integrator partners in the UK and Ireland, initially focusing on those companies already selling application delivery controller (ADC), universal access controllers and SSL VPN solutions, or infrastructure to cloud service providers.
Within the last two years, Array Networks has become the number two ADC vendor in China and India in terms of market share and revenue, with the company winning Network Products Guide’s ‘Application Delivery Product of the year 2011’ and Frost & Sullivan awarding Array Networks ‘ADC vendor of the year 2011’ in India.
The company recently launched the world’s first 60 Gbps ADC appliance – part of the APV 600 series – based on its new SpeedCore platform. This multi-core parallel processor, 64-bit platform offers dual IPv4 and IPv6 support, 2048 –bit SSL encryption and will underpin all new Array products including its SPX series of universal access controllers.
Application control and delivery is now a strategic issue for many enterprise IT departments challenged with managing ever increasing data growth in datacentres and on their networks and the demand to make information available irrespective of the device or location of users.
Rodolf Schmit, Array Networks’ sales director, Europe and Africa says, “With our latest APV appliances and universal access controllers, we’ve become a compelling number two choice for partners seeking to win business in tougher economic times by offering their end-user enterprise customers a price, performance and value alternative to expensive systems from well known competing solutions.”
Depending on the ADC appliance model, enterprise customers can realise up to a 300% performance improvement compared to similarly configured and priced competitive products.
In conjunction with the SPX universal access controller, enterprise customers buying the DirectDesktop software module, can replicate staff desktops on iPads, PC tablets, smart phones and other devices to easily roll out remote access securely and quickly.
Schmit adds, “The ‘consumerisation’ of business is a real trend where staff want to use their own personal devices at work which haven’t necessarily been sanctioned by corporate IT. Array has comprehensive remote access solutions - utilising either SSL VPN technology or DesktopDirect - so that IT staff maintain full control of corporate applications and data while employees choose the best device to fit their personal requirements.”
Array Networks is also focusing on selling solutions which integrate extremely well with cloud management systems to allow cloud service provides to quickly roll out IaaS and SaaS solutions.
Array Networks has an established global user base of corporate customers in various verticals including banking & insurance, telecoms, manufacturing and other industrial sectors. Today its technology is installed in 20% of the top global 200 companies, six of the world’s top 10 banks and eight of the world’s top 10 telecoms providers.
Further to this international traction and a successful IPO on the Taiwanese Stock Exchange, Array Networks is now investing in growing its business in North America and Europe, with Nubeon appointed to drive its business forward in the UK & Ireland.
Schmit, says, “The big VADs want huge financial commitment before you get any traction with them. Nubeon is a smaller, newer distributor – hungry for business – and used to bringing to market next-generation technology from emerging players. The fit between the two companies is strong.”
Nubeon will support existing and new channel partners offering a range of pre and post sales services including product distribution, pricing support, technical training and information, and 24/7 first line support though its Matec Global managed services division.
Nubeon will sign resellers to Array Network’s tiered Total Value Partner Programme. All levels - authorised and premium partners – will receive extensive training and sales support including lead generation and lead sharing, with the level of discount and marketing assistance dependent on the tier joined.
To support new partners, Array Networks has invested in creating a simple-to-use new partner portal which will provide resellers a simple way to register deals, access resources and technical information, with login given to all authorised sales staff to assist them in the sales process. The portal launches on July 1, 2011.
Nick Maria, Nubeon’s sales director, says, “Resellers will get considerable assistance at both a distributor and vendor level to win deals, with Array Networks’ products offering all partners considerable margin opportunity. The ADC products are typically higher performance, feature-rich, but at significantly lower cost to competitors. So, it’s a win:win opportunity for all - good for Array, Nubeon, new and existing resellers, and ultimately end-users deploying equipment to drive their businesses forward.”
